Is prior experience required?
Prior experience is not required. We welcome athletes of all experience levels and focus on skill development, confidence, teamwork, and fun. Our coaching staff works with each athlete to help them grow throughout the season.
How are teams formed?
Teams are formed based on:
Grade level
Registration numbers
League requirements
Coach availability
Are teammate or coach requests accepted?
While we understand families may wish to request specific teammates or coaches, requests are not guaranteed. Team placements are made in the best interest of the program and the overall experience for all participants.
How does weather cancellation work?
Weather-related delays or cancellations are communicated through email. Your coach may also communicate through any communication app they utilize. Athlete safety is always our top priority when making weather-related decisions.
What is the volunteer requirement?
Each family is required to give 2 HOURS of volunteer time in order to receive their Volunteer Bond back at the end of the season. Volunteer Bonds will be given at Equipment Pickup.
FOOTBALL FAQ
When does Registration open?
Registration opens March 1st and will run through to June 1st.
When are Practices?
Practices will start early August and will run Monday-Thursday from 6pm-8pm
When school starts practices will drop to 3 days a week for Tackle & Cheer (Mon,Tue, Thurs) and Flag 2 nights a week.
Attendance is critical to ensure player safety, skill developmental, and team success. Please communicate with your coaches when missing practices.
Heat Acclimation
Heat acclimation occurs throughout August, during which helmets and pads are gradually introduced and practice intensity is increased. Families are encouraged to schedule vacations outside of this period so players can safely adjust to full equipment and exertion.
Equipment
Flag- we provide helmet, flags with belt, and personalized jersey. Parents must provide cleats and mouthguard
Tackle- we provide practice uniform, helmet with SAFR cover and chinstrap, shoulder pads, personalized gameday jersey, game pants. Parents must provide cleats, mouthguard, gloves (if wanted), athletic supporter or cup
Cheer- we provide cheer uniform, bow, 2 sets of pompoms. Parents must provide white cheer shoes and white socks.
